Allowance Race

An allowance race sits above claiming level: the horses are not for sale, and weights are adjusted ("allowed") based on conditions like races won or earnings. Allowance company is a step up in class from claimers and a step below stakes — a horse moving from claiming to allowance is rising in class and must prove it belongs.
