Track Condition (Going)
Track condition (the "going") describes the state of the surface — dirt rated fast to sloppy, turf firm to yielding. An off (wet) track reshuffles a race: it favors horses with proven wet-track pedigree and can flip a speed-favoring surface into a tiring one. A horse's dry-track figures can badly mislead in the slop. HandicapIQ factors a live weather read into every analysis.
